After reading it, I’m sure there was no doubt left in her mind that I was having mental problems. My parents soon became reluctant to let me go anywhere by myself. I’d quit my job at the facility, and I was not working as a handyman anymore. I was never leaving the house. In a few weeks, the most severe symptoms of schizophrenia had decreased in intensity, probably due to decreased stress levels. I started to work more aggressively on Dan’s mutual fund application. By the end of December, I had completed it successfully.
Perhaps my behavior at work made them unsure of my mental status. Perhaps they had hired a private investigator to observe my behavior outside of work.
